Summary: One sunset is all it takes to change the course of life. Elrond falls in love with Erestor while watching the sunset together in their early days in Lindon. After millenia of unrequited love in which he watches Erestor married to Gil-Galad, Elrond finally reveals his feelings at the end of the Second Alliance. But he must marry Celebrian to ensure the line of Finwe lives...rnrnThe series describes the lives of the noblest of the elves of Middle-Earth from the last High-King Gil-Galad to the last elf to leave Middle-Earth, Legolas. One generation of leaders fall in the Second Alliance leaving the burdens on the shoulders of the next. Love, lust, greed and jealousy spurs even the noblest of the elves to make choices they regret and repent.

Add a stubborn sister, a Noldor-hating wooer of the said sister and a dozen or so cousins to this mix, Finrod is reasonably sure that he wouldn’t mind morphing into an orc.
