The task appointed to the ancient elf of Gondolin does not seem too difficult as he is whisked from Mandos Halls, back into the world of the living. Serve the High King of the Noldor...and his heir, should he continue to have one after the Peredhils' decisions are made. Relatively simple. What the Eldar did not count on?
