I'm very glad to find this story here. I read it many years ago somewhere else, can't even remember now, but, as much as I love Denethor, the pure horror of this event is magnificent.

Very, very well written. I wish I could figure out how to put 'star's up - for I would give this one five or ten or twenty.

Again, an excellently horrific moment.
