Summary: All but one of the elves has returned to Aman since the end of the Third Age. Finrod, sent by the Valar, travels to the Outer Lands in order to find Maglor and persuade him to return now that he has been forgiven. The son of FĂ«anor refuses, causing Finrod to go to extreme measures to persuade him otherwise. When all things are said and done, Finrod finds out just what day it is for Maglor.
