Summary: This story is a sequel to Poncing Ponies' delightful Twice Given and continues the action without a break. It does, however, have one change of premise. "Twice Given" follows the film in having Gandalf arrive the day before Bilbo's birthday party (though it keeps the book's premise that Frodo and Bilbo share the same birthday). In the book, Gandalf arrives about a week earlier. I have adopted the latter chronology.
