Summary: Kind of an AU. On Middle-Earth, Legolas is, for some odd reason, part of the Orcs. He's still the elf we love, he's just... with Orcs. Gandalf must somehow capture him, and teach him manners... and perhaps more. Preferably written in a serious, perhaps even slightly dramatic way. Must have happy ending. Legolas must *at least* end up with some sort of affection towards Gandalf.

Summary: After leaving Rivendell, the fellowship stop at a lovely deep pool with a waterfall. They are all having fun using this feature as a water-slide and messing around, but Gandalf notices the Legolas isn't even in the water. After asking him several times he finds out that Legolas can't swim! So he takes him to a sheltered pool somewhere nearby and teaches him how to swim...and the Elf wants to 'thank' him.
