This is only the first or second fic I've ever read in Moria, and I'm absolutely hooked. You honestly have a wonderful way of building up tension, which is not at all easy when dealing with characters we all know so well and love so much.
Well done, truly - and this line made me smile so hard my face hurt:
"Merry laughed despite his weariness; the rich sound rang out in the clear daylight and at that moment, any fool might have guessed his nickname."
